Search and Rescue

LAUNCHING
Hardwater Airboats are capable of being launched almost anywhere without a designated launch ramp. Our airboats can be off loaded on a beach or parking lot then driven across an embankment to the body of water decreasing response time.

PAYLOAD
Hardwater Airboats have a much greater payload capacity than hovercraft or inflatables. Our boats can carry up to 12 people and have a safe loading capacity up to 2,600 pounds. With the open deck design search and rescue operations can accommodate immobilized patients on stokes baskets.

OPERATIONS

Hardwater Airboats are powered by fuel injected marine engines and develop airflow by specifically designed carbon fiber propellers. Like aircraft, airboats deliver airflow rearward and have no reverse. With proper training an operator will soon master maneuvering in the varying conditions and have the ability to operate an airboat at all speeds and weights.

RELIABILITY
Recent advancements in engines and propellers technology has made airboats a practical cost effective vessel for ice or deep open water rescues. Hardwater Airboats meet or exceed ABYC standards and will only use marine grade products to build the absolute best airboat being manufactured today.

WINTER SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS
Hardwater Airboats design allows for search and rescue in the worst conditions. Designed for you to get the job done and back home safely is our priority. Conventional ice rescues with rescue suits and ropes averages 40-60 minutes. The same rescue with a Hardwater Airboat can be performed in 8-12 minutes. The 7ft. wide hull provides a stable work platform for hoisting victims over the side. A 32” side depth allows for operations in rough open water areas.
